Patricia McCoy is a highly skilled ceramicist who has exhibited her work throughout the country and abroad. She studied and qualified in Ceramic Design at the Limerick College of Art and Design, and has built on her formal education by working in potteries in London, Italy and Egypt before establishing her own range of pottery in 1994, Desert-Serges Pottery.

Patricia's approach to ceramics is based on a keen sense of form and her imaginative use of her palette of glazes which she continues to develop. The work is individually hand-crafted from high-firing stoneware clay, and glazed before being fired at up to 1300°C.

The uniquely designed lamps, ceramic gardens and clocks complement the range of tableware. Patricia McCoy's ceramics can be seen to evolve not only in her Desert-Serges tableware range but also in her unique exhibition pieces.
