West Cork Craft and Design Guild - A guide to some of Ireland's finest craftwork.

Printmaker, artist and designer Wendy Dison moved to West Cork in 1999 having previously lived in the U.K., Spain and Mexico. She lives and works in a traditional farmhouse on the slopes of Shehy mountain. An inveterate traveller and explorer of other cultures, Wendy brings many memories and influences to her work. She is particularly fascinated by folk religion and iconography. Wendy is passionate about the craft of printmaking and uses various techniques, traditional and modern, including etching, linocut, woodblock and screen-printing. Her range of handmade greeting cards, with their Latin American or Celtic motifs, are to be found in shops throughout Ireland and in U.K.

Wendy's limited edition fine art prints can be viewed at selected galleries; please Email for the latest information on exhibitions. These original prints are usually produced in small editions but Wendy also uses monotype and mixed media to produce unique artworks. A focus of her current work is the abstract interpretation of landscape and the built environment.

Although much of her work derives from her own inspiration and enthusiasms Wendy also undertakes commissions and usually mounts and frames her own work as well.

Commissions welcome.
